Surftrip, Hossegor — Plage Sud
Located right on the Plage Sud and awarded the Qualité Tourisme label, this school offers lessons and equipment rental (more than 100 boards and wetsuits) from April to October, on gentler waves than La Gravière.

CapSurf, Capbreton — Plage Notre-Dame
Open since 2002 and accredited by the French Surfing Federation, CapSurf welcomes beginners from age 7 on foam boards, on the border between Capbreton and Hossegor's Plage Sud.

The schools of Lacanau, in Gironde
Lacanau offers surfing and bodyboarding lessons for all levels, from children's classes to intensive courses, on beaches known for their versatility. For a first session, it's better to choose a sheltered beach rather than a technical spot like La Gravière. Once you're out of the water, a quick-drying T-shirt and a warm sweatshirt remain the essentials for a beach break.
